ICE6 Sunday 23rd November 2008

Exercise ICE 6 will take place on Sunday 23rd November 2008 from 10:30 to 13:00.

Data to be transferred will be provided by EPO's using the
CHALETS TEMPLATE
.

The station at each county installation will pass the message which will have been generated by their local Emergency Planning Officer (or equivalent) using the “Chalets” template already circulated. The Chalets report should be numbered from top to bottom starting with the first as C1 and ending with the last as S22. Due to the expected high volume of traffic it is requested that only 1 entry against each section of the report is made.

When Control, which will be located at GOSW (using callsign G8RXA/G3ZKI), invites the relevant station to pass their message as detailed above preceded by Date/Time/Group, location and callsign. All messages must be preceded by “Exercise ICE6”. Control will use tactical callsigns eg “Taunton”, “Bailiwick of Guernsey”, etc. and the responders are asked to include their callsign, location and frequency at the start of each message. Similarly talkthrough stations will be addressed as “Kit Hill talkthrough”, “Porlock talkthrough”, etc.

It is suggested that all stations, including relay/talkthrough stations, establish communication with each other in the 30 minutes prior to the Exercise, which will commence at 1100 hrs. The exercise must conclude by 1300 hrs. This will enable the best route to be established so that the messages can be passed as quickly as possible.
